LCD VS LED TV
There are MAJOR changes coming the the LCD vs LED
tv market in 2010! EVERYTHING IS GOING
WIRELESS! No more dealing with those messy cables! Also, VIZIO is coming out with a 72
inch LCD television this summer! It will be priced at $3499. Expensive, but not out of reach for some.
The HDTV makers that are wireless capable right now are LG and Samsung.
Remember with the WIRELESS age upon us, make sure all your components such as blu-ray players are compatible.
Sony make a very nice wireless Blu-ray player for about $250.
LED televisions are technically in the LCD television arena, The differnece in LCD vs
LED televisions is the back lighting technology used. LCD tvs us a fluorescent light source to produce the
colors and images on the screen. LED technology on the other hand uses light emitting diodes to control the light
source for your image. So which is better? LCD or LED
LCD's CASE
LCD televisions have been around for several years now and are of course slightly cheaper than led televisions.
There are also more size choices with LCD tvs. LCD televisions do use a fairly large amount of power on the
downside. The yearly cost can be upwards of $200 dollars depending on the size of screen and of course the amount
of use. Great deals can be found on LCD televisions online!

LED's CASE
An LED tv does provide a slightly better picture quality and weigh much less and are thinner than LCD
television. They use about 40% less power vs an LCD tv. There also is no toxic mercury used in the manufacturing
process. For the environmentalist out there, an LED tv is the hands down winner.
The case of an LCD vs LED tv is not an easy answer. It depends on which factors are most important to
you. I myself prefer LED tvs as I am a bit of a tree hugger. Have a blessed day.
